Taara Aroyyo is a half-elf tiefling woman born on the 17th of Marpenoth. She served in the City Guard early on until illness drove her into an unstable role as a monster hunting ranger trying to survive in the wilds. She was eventually reinstated into the guard with the assistance of her name making rounds in the mercenary circles and a good word from a lucrative noble. Retaining her slaying skills and headstrong means forward, she climbed to the high rank of a griffin cavalry soldier. Taara is chaotic good, very focused on maintaining the safety of herself, and currently resides in Waterdeep.

Sel is a beholderborn of unknown age, but he is certain he was a century old before he was frozen in stone. Once a slave and courier for their Elder Orb master, Sel went against its demands and was heavily punished - locked away in stone for ages until unsuspecting wanderers broke him free. Reduced to his survival skills, he is relearning the powerful magic he once knew and is trying to build a new life until he feels strong enough to confront his previous master.

Oracil is a 500 year old gynosphinx. Once a temple guardian holding secrets and treasures for her divine commander: Mystra, Oracil was cast down as a fallen sphinx and now lives her life as a powerful adventurer seeking the most dangerous journeys available. Oracil is also a member of the Society of Brilliance. She is a powerful knowledge seeker rather than experimentalist. She travels to find rare books or to find books she deems too dangerous to exist. Any books that teach necromancy need to be destroyed, books about research on similar subjects need to be under strict protection.

Nymeria is a female batfolk who once served the Underdark as a druid helping people and nature, but she abandoned her cause and became a traveling potion merchant. She travels Faerun in a colorful, aging caravan and can be seen in any major city along the Sword Coast, as well as many passing druid groves.

Azura is a basteti woman and battle cleric to the Egyptian goddess Bastet. Azura is from the southlands, from the city of Per-Bastet, where she works as an astrological priest and alchemical researcher. Azura views darkness as comfort and is obsessively curious, she tends to be at ease in all company.
