To be transhuman is to desire to be 'beyond human'. This can be small, like being attached to a glucose monitor, to the extreme: uploading your conciousness to the internet. In this modern age, many are transhuman without even realizing. My introduction to transhumanism began with an old cable show called Futurescape, and ever since I have looked forward to a future where should my body decay, I live on in chrome.

We're far from digital conciousness, but we are leaps and bounds closer to a digital lifestyle. Virtual reality headsets and digital universes created by people, tailoring their digital landscapes and appearances into anything they desire...

I studied transhumanism in college. What it means to be transhuman and the trajectory of humanity towards a transhuman future. My work was vetted by a tranhumanist philosopher. If you are interested in my studies, I have attached some of my previous research.
